PPGI/PPGL (Prepainted Galvanized Steel/Prepainted Galvalume Steel) is coated with an organic layer that provides a higher level of corrosion resistance and a longer lifespan than galvanized steel sheet.
The base metal for PPGI/PPGL products can consist of cold-rolled steel, hot-dipped galvanized steel, electro-galvanized steel, and hot-dipped galvalume steel. The coating materials that can be used are polyester, silicon-modified polyester, polyvinylidene fluoride, high-durability polyester, and more.
